Governor Gregoire directs the Superintendent of Public Instrucation and Director of the Department of Early Learning to create a proposal for the state's role in early learning. The action follows the Governor's veto of the inclusion of early learning in the new definition of Basic Education passed by the legislature in 2009.

Take action now!
Advocates on the Professional Development Consortium are pushing that all Licensed Childcare providers obtain their BA in the future. It is extremely important that childcare providers contact the Governor, and all Legislators regarding this matter as soon as possible. Write your thoughts on what they are suggesting and please send them to your Legislators!
